The corrugated galvanised water tank is an enduring image of the Australian landscape. Like anything that has been around for over 100 years, there are solid reasons for its longevity. Aquamate realised a long time ago that galvanised corrugated steel was the ideal building material to contain the significant pressures produced by large volume water storage, as well as providing the highest level of corrosion protection. Using galvanised steel walls enables Aquamate to offer a unique 20 year warranty without the hassle and cost of servicing or replacing anodes, unlike Zincalume® coated tanks.
The combination of lightweight steel and heavy duty galvanising make Aquamate tanks shells perfectly suited to water storage. By using corrugated steel panels, Aquamate’s tanks have all of the required strength without the excess cost. All tank panels are coated with a heavy galvanised layer, with three times the coating thickness of typical zinc-aluminium alloy coatings.
Aquamate use a specially blended polymer for all of our tank liners. The unsupported polyolefin that Aquamate use is flexible, resistant to fatigue cracking and super stretchy – all things you need for a durable water tank. Manufactured in-house at Aquamate’s state-of-the-art production facility in South Australia, the quality of our tank liners is the reason we can offer a 20 year no-leaks warranty.

All large water tanks are supplied with a 50mm outlet with brass ball valve, 90mm overflow with mosquito screening and a 400mm diameter inlet basket with light guard as standard.
Each Aquamate water tank is supplied with a lockable steel manhole fitted in the roof, along with a removable hot dip galvanised ladder for access.
A polyethylene moisture barrier protects your tank from rising damp and is designed to last the entire life of your tank.
Aquamate “Rainsaver” caps are placed at the end of each roof corrugation to collect the majority of the water before it runs off the tank roof.
Aquamate uses the Liquidator level gauge that use an internal pulley systems so that the gauge correctly shows the height of water in your tank.
Aquamate water tanks are available in a range of colours, including standard and premium options to match your home and your surroundings.
The geotextile cushion layer protects your tank liner from sharp rocks or stones in the base – adding and extra layer of protection to your water storage tank.
A specially formulated foam strip placed between the underside of the roofing iron and the top of the tank wall prevents Dust & Vermin entering the tank.
Aquamate can install a facia around the perimeter of the tank roof to enhance the appearance of your tank.
All of Aquamate’s water tank shells are supplied with a Z450 (450 grams per square metre) galvanised coating. We offer three colours options as part of our standard colour range, also a range of non-standard colours.
