AS2304 Water Tanks for Fire Protection Systems
Aquamate supply a range of steel fire protection water storage tanks suitable for use in automatic sprinkler systems and fire hydrant systems. We have been manufacturing these fire tanks for over 30 years, starting in 1986.
With compliance to AS2304:2011 “Water Tanks for Fire Protection Systems”, Aquamate’s standard range of water storage tanks for fire protection are available in sizes up to 13.0 metres diameter and 748,000 litres nominal volume and meets Australia’s water tank design standards.
AS2304 standards dictate the water storage requirements for fire protection and set out the minimum requirements for the design, construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of bolted steel circular and rectangular water tanks for the storage of water for fire protection systems. This Standard also provides guidance on water sources and qualities that influence tank design and construction, together with water conservation measures.
All of our fire tanks and liners are manufactured at our South Australian production facility, allowing us to control quality and provide short lead times on all of our products, which are at the leading edge of fire water storage tank design.

Aquamate has been manufacturing fire tanks since 1986. We engineer fire water tanks from 5,000 to 102,000 gallons. Our fire water tanks are engineered in a state of the art facility. For our fire tanks, we use a galvanized tank shell, rather than a Zincalume shell, which means no sacrificial anodes. A fire tank from Aquamate has a 20 year “No Service Costs” Warranty.
